StatSheet's MAC Player of the Week for February 18th goes to Kent State's Chris Evans. StatSheet's MAC Freshman of the Week goes to Connar Tava. Finally, Bowling Green's Richaun Holmes is the StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week.
Evans topped the MAC in rebounding (13.5 per game). He also put up great stats in shooting (60%) and scoring (20 pts per game). The Kent State senior played well for the Golden Flashes in a win against Miami (OH) and an unfortunate loss to Ohio.
Evans led all scoring and rebounding for the Golden Flashes with 22 points and 13 rebounds in an 87-70 win over Miami (OH). He followed that up with a team-leading 18 points and 14 rebounds in a 78-75 loss to Ohio.

StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week: Western Michigan's Connar Tava
Connar Tava was on the floor an average of 22 minutes starting both games for Western Michigan. In a 70-60 loss to Bowling Green, Tava rang up 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Then in a 66-58 win against Northern Illinois, he added 12 points and 8 rebounds.
This is the second StatSheet MAC Freshman of the Week honor for Connar Tava. The runner-up is Jarryn Skeete from Buffalo. Honorable mention goes to Chris Fowler from Central Michigan.
StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week: Bowling Green's Richaun Holmes
Sophomore Richaun Holmes, a 6-8 reserve forward, averaged 27 minutes over two games for the Falcons. In a 70-60 win against Western Michigan, Holmes put up 8 points and 9 rebounds. Then in a 67-50 loss to Akron, he led all scoring and rebounding with 15 points and 8 rebounds.
This is Richaun Holmes's second StatSheet MAC 6th Man of the Week award this season. Our own David Brown is runner up. Matt Kamieniecki, a junior forward from Ball State, receives honorable mention. Western Michigan players have been named StatSheet MAC Player of the Week once this season.
